Uzbekistan and Hungary continue strengthening bilateral economic and financial ties, particularly in the banking sector. A pivotal step in this cooperation was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Finance and OTP Bank on December 22, 2020.

In recent years, Uzbekistan’s political and economic cooperation with many European countries has entered a new phase. 

In a telephone conversation held on May 17, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on his birthday, sincerely wishing him great success in his responsible state activity for the welfare and prosperity of the fraternal Kazakh people.

Termez dialogue 

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay official visits to Hungary and the Republic of Slovenia on May 19-22.

The first meeting of the Termez dialogue on interconnectedness between Central and South Asia on the topic “Building common peace, friendship and prosperity” will take place in Termez on May 19-21 of this year in order to strengthen interregional political and economic intercooperation, as well as to develop and improve mechanisms and forms of interaction in the field of ensuring regional security and stability.

As is known, the first meeting of the Termez Dialogue on Connectivity between Central and South Asia, dedicated to the theme "Building a Common Space for Peace, Friendship, and Prosperity," will be held in Termez on May 19-21, 2025. 

On May 15 President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Republic of Türkiye headed by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.

On May 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting dedicated to discussing priority tasks to improve the effectiveness of reforms in the school education system.
