The Head of our State visited the exhibition on the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, organized at the International Tourism Center "The Great Silk Road" in the city of Samarkand.

As part of the program of the 25th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) held in the city of Samarkand, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Declaration on awarding Samarkand the status of “the World Cultural Tourism Capital” and the Agreement on the establishment of the International Tourism Academy were adopted.

On October 16, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony of the 25th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the events of which will proceed in Samarkand until 20 October.
