Computer crime in information security and the need for data protection of information systems, as well as the international and national legal framework, their current status are investigated in this article.

Nowadays, the priority tasks for the consistent socio-economic development of Uzbekistan are the widespread introduction of the ICT and digital technologies.

Cybersecurity is a broad concept that encompasses technologies, processes and policies that help prevent and/or mitigate the negative impact of events in cyberspace that may occur as a result of deliberate actions against information technology by a hostile or malicious entity. 

This article discusses aspects of the influence of information and communication technologies on political and social activity of citizens, analyzes the legal framework for regulating the activities of citizens and their social activity in cyberspace, and considers the consequences of illegal activity of users on the Internet.

In modern globalization processes, information transmitted through telecommunications is one of the most important factors in the development of society.

The consistent reforms undertaken on the initiative and under the leadership of our President, in particular the innovative solutions being actively implemented to improve the quality of services in all spheres of public life and the well-being of our people, contribute to further strengthening the status of New Uzbekistan in the global community.
