A solemn welcoming ceremony for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who is on a state visit to Azerbaijan, has been held at the Zagulba Residence.

The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse extended a warm welcome to the Uzbek Leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his spouse.

A guard of honor lined up at the square in front of the residence in honor of the distinguished guest.

The Leaders walked around the guard of honor. A military orchestra played the national anthems of the two countries.

Following the joint photo session, the bilateral meeting between Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev began.
