The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in the city of Almaty on a working visit.

At the aircraft, the head of our state was met by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. In honor of the arrival of the Uzbek leader, a guard of honor was lined up and national flags were raised.

Today, the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will hold an informal meeting. Agenda includes expansion of practical cooperation in the areas of trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture and water management, as well as the continuation of active interregional contacts and cultural-humanitarian exchange.

The heads of state will also exchange views on issues of international policy and regional cooperation.
