Following the talks in the presence of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the foreign ministers signed a protocol and exchanged ratification certificates on the entry into force of the Treaty on allied relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The treaty was signed during a bilateral summit in Dushanbe on April 18 last year.

The document enters into force from the day of the exchange of instruments of ratification.
