At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, on July 2 the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed to this country with a state visit.

According to the program of the visit, the second session of the Supreme Interstate Council and other high-level events will be held in the city of Baku. Issues of further strengthening of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of friendship, strategic partnership and alliance will be reviewed.

The Leader of our country will also participate in the work of a regular summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, which will be held in the city of Khankendi.
