Attention Foreign Nationals: Online Uzbek Language Proficiency Certification Available in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan has implemented a CEFR-based Uzbek language proficiency assessment system for foreign nationals and stateless persons.

Applicants may now take online examinations and obtain official certificates at A1, A2 and B1 levels. Certification for B2, C1 and C2 levels is scheduled to be introduced from 2027.

The examinations are conducted online by the Knowledge and Qualifications Assessment Agency and evaluate four language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking.

Foreign nationals holding at least a B1-level certificate are exempt from the state language examination required for acquiring the citizenship of Uzbekistan.
